Strange and eccentric tuning style – rat style. Those cars look like a pile of rust and garbage, but are fully functional and MOT proved. As an example – Polski Fiat 126p rat style, spotted on the street of Szczecin.

Szczecin, (original, German name – Stettin), one of the most beautiful Polish cities, yet one of the least known and most underestimated. What you see at the panoramas below, is the view from the stunning Maritime Museum building located by the Oder river. Found at the bottom of the local pond in Włochy, near Warsaw – brick made by local factory, about 80 years ago. Great piece of local history.

LUGPol Lego RC Truck Trial

LUGPol is a world famous, Polish, very strict board of adult Lego fans. Young and bit older, teenagers, student and real engineers, they all gather around Lego Technic bricks and construct trurly astonishing machines, that very often mirror real life trucks and other machines. From time to time, they meet to compete in RC Truck Trial competitions, where they test their creations. What a great way to express your creativity and engineering skills – if I’d work in engineering, I’d keep my eye on them – I’d be happy to hire them one day.

Just a little note: I’m a big fan of Tatra trucks, T-813 Kolos in my all time favourite truck. Even in this scale – they still win, they still look great. Competition itself, even for a ignorant like me is really exciting; rules of the competition are based on F1 regulations and the level of restrictions is just insane – every truck has to have the engine in the correct place, frame, side mirrors, wipers, steering wheel, dashboard and safety belts for both driver and pilot(!).

When I visit new places, I walk. This time I came back to the city of Wrocław (Breslau) and came across this beautiful old cathedral. Well lit, quiet place with great history.

Yes, that’s what you see: in 2013, XXI century, central Europe, very close to Czech border – a woman pulls a plow. It was sort of hard to believe at first, so I took a picture to look at it later.

Top picture has been taken about two weeks ago, bottom one – today. Two weeks of difference, over 30 degrees of difference, among many others. Weather went completely nuts, however, lakes around are still frozen. In a week, there will be May.
