For years I’ve been watching this trend in art of photography – find some gallery, take some horrible pictures of something terribly boring, print them big, with stains, out of focus and pretending to be old and discovered at the bottom of the polluted lake, where they were dumped several years before you’ve found them, call the critics in and win the prize for the greatest photographer alive.

This trend moved to the mobile phone market, here is the example of the Instagram application for the iPhone – it can produce images modified with the selection of filters. Interesting, because that’s possibly the only use of the camera in iPhone 3G, since it always produces terrible quality images with focus always set not there, where you want it.
